This ambitious project was an attempt at time-based experimental choreographic process to explore the idea of memory and body memory through generative music, performance art, installation art, film and travel journal art. Curated by Sumedha Bhattacharya and in collaboration with film maker Anurag Dasgupta (Delhi), sound artist Shoummo Saha (Dhaka,Bangladesh) and installation artist Vishnu Priya (London, UK), to record the diverse journey of Kathak as a dance form and its associated collective body memory. It tries to illustrate the evolution of Kathak starting from Pre-Mughal era to the Contemporary India to capture the dance form through multiple facets, from its cultural revolution to legitimisation, revitalisation, Sanskritisation and gentrification.
